Dive: A Hyperrealistic Painting Series

Eric Zener does an amazing job showcasing his hyperrealistic underwater paintings. This oil painter does away with such a crisp feel to this underwater series. The first piece is simply astounding, the blue and black gradient gives the illusion of the subject on the verge of emerging out of the shallow water. The second piece is more of a follow up, but still captures the essence of the uprising, with a bit more focus on light hues. The last composition is has darkish hues and a great mix of white to get the water disruption. The subject is falling back into oblivion it seems, not fully conscious. Be sure to check out more thrilling paintings from Eric after the jump.
